The Bertinga vineyard is near the village of Lecchi in Chianti. It is a two-hectare vineyard with a beautiful southern exposure and a soil that has a natural vocation for the production of important red wines. The vines are pruned with the spurred cordon method, with a maximum number of four buds. A very limited amount of the plot produces Colorino grapes which are vinified separately. The resulting wine was usually used for small additions in the various wines of the property, due to the characteristics linked to the great coloring intensity. After aging in used barriques for eighteen months, it is bottled with its own label: it is the Stagi. Before being released, the wine rests for another six months in the bottle.
